A pop-up restaurant has landed at Leaves & Fishes
Alfie’s Hunter Valley is coming, but until he arrives in June, the team behind Newcastle's neighbourhood Italian wine bar are bringing you a pop-up restaurant in its place – Lucky Duck.
Set on the water at the stunning Leaves & Fishes and incorporating flavours from various Asian cuisines, the beautifully-balanced menu and peaceful setting will transport you to another world.
Renowned head chef Rafael Tonon has crafted a simple yet sophisticated menu featuring hot and cold small dishes, larger share dishes, and something for the kids – all centred around seasonal and locally-sourced produce.
“Whilst we’re looking forward to launching Alfie’s Hunter Valley in June, we wanted to do something fun and different in the space before we pause for renovations. Asian food is another one of Raf’s great passions, so we’re excited to introduce Lucky Duck – where the fresh and light Asian flavours and idyllic location combine to make it the perfect place to soak up the last of the warmer months,” co-owner Luciano Cruz said.
Whether it’s sharing snacks of smoked trout betel leaves, bao buns, prawn toast or something larger – think whole fried baby snapper or sticky beef short ribs – you'll leave satisfied.
Lucky Duck is here for a good time, not a long time, so don't miss it!
